Common questions

Which package should I choose?

If you are a one-person business that just wants slips captured, The Basic package, at R 49/month, covers one user, one card, the app and WhatsApp. If you are still on your own but want all of our advanced features such as the email bot, recurring expenses, budgets, currency conversion and multiple cards, then Pro (at R 119/month) is the one for you. The moment you need other people (admins, managers, cardholders or more than one bookkeeper), then the Team package, at R 199/month, is your best option.

Who counts as a billable user?

If you're on the Basic or Pro package, then the base fee is all you'll ever pay. If you're on the Team plan, then your first 5 cardholders are included, thereafter additional cardholders are R 49/month each, with unlimited free admin and bookkeeper seats.

How does the free trial work?

You get 30 days free on the full Team package, with no credit card required. Choose your package and add payment details any time during the trial, on the Billing tab in the Admin portal. We'll email you a reminder 5 days before it ends.

Can I change package later?

Yes. Upgrading is immediate and you only pay a pro-rata amount for the rest of your current cycle. Moving to a smaller package is scheduled for the end of your current cycle.

What happens to my data if I move down to Basic or Pro?

Nothing is deleted. Extra users are suspended (the main user stays active), extra cards are suspended on the Basic plan, with the first card you created staying active, recurring expenses are paused, and the email bot stops accepting slips. We show you exactly what will change before you confirm, and upgrading again restores it all.

Is annual billing available on all packages?

Yes, and it saves 10% on all packages. You'll see the exact annual amount for your package on the Billing tab in the Admin portal.

Do coupon codes work on every package?

Yes. A valid promo or affiliate code applies to whichever package you choose, including annual billing.

Is my card safe?

Yes. Card details are tokenised by Payfast, a PCI-DSS compliant South African payment provider. Your full card number never touches our servers, we only store a token that can charge your subscription.

What happens if I add or remove cardholders mid-cycle?

On Team, adding a cardholder mid-cycle triggers a pro-rata charge for the rest of the current period, then full price from the next cycle. Removing one keeps the seat available at no extra cost until the next cycle.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Cancel on the Billing tab in the Admin portal whenever you like. You keep full access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you're never locked into a contract.

Who owns my data?

You do. Every receipt, expense, and export belongs to your company. You can download a ZIP of every stored receipt from the admin portal, or request full deletion at any time.

How am I charged?

Via Payfast. No card is needed to start. Add your card any time during the trial on the Billing tab on the Admin portal, and your first charge only happens after day 30.
